BSCAA Cleaning Induction Course
This course specifies the outcomes required to undertake Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) induction training within the cleaning industry.
It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of WHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the cleaning and building services industry.
All workers must take responsibility for their own health and safety and ensure their actions at work do not adversely affect the health and safety of other workers, contractors, customers or building occupants.
This course is broken into six (6) sections.
Section 1 – Legislation.
Section 2 – Safe Work Practices.
Section 3 – Identify Risks and Hazards.
Section 4 – Chemical Hazards.
Section 5 – Manage Risks and Hazards
Section 6 – WHS Communication, Information and Documents
This course covers all required knowledge content for the following competency units:
CPPCLO2033A Plan for safe and efficient cleaning activities
CPPCLO2035A Maintain cleaning storage areas
CPPCMN2002A Participate in workplace safety arrangements
